Tournament of the Unknown, Boxing class by Queer Gym

As part of the show Tournament Of The Unknown, this class introduces the basic techniques of boxing and teaches how to take up space in a powerful way. It is for everyone, any body or background. This class will be given by Queer Gym, a Rotterdam-based initiative that offers sport trainings for all the people who do not feel safe or welcome in mainstream gym environment.

The tournament of the Unknown, envisions new worlds beyond the binary where hegemonic heterosexist discourses cease to regulate bodies. Initiated by Gabriel Fontana, the tournament features a series of alternative team sport games that create opportunities for social engagement outside of the norm.

The Tournament of the Unknown evolves over a month through a series of games, ceremonies and workshops, including the classes by Queer Gym Rotterdam.
