Tournament of the Unknown - Turning towards Fluidity
Komende maand staat het Gemaal in het teken van: Tournament of the Unknown - Turning towards Fluidity.
Deze expositie, gemaakt door Gabriel Fontana, evolueert gedurende een maand via een reeks spellen, ceremonies, workshops en lessen door Queer Gym.
The Tournament of the Unknown verbeeld nieuwe werelden voorbij de binaire, waar het dominante heterosexistische discourse niet langer heersend is. Het toernooi is geïnitieerd door Gabriel Fontana en bestaat uit een reeks alternatieve teamsporten die mogelijkheden scheppen voor sociaal engagement buiten de norm.
Op 30 oktober vindt de opening van dit bijzondere programma plaats met een gesprek met cultureel werker Clara Balaguer, sporttrainer Romy Rocks en Gabriel Fontana zelf! Daarna spelen we met ze allen het eerste spel, zodat je zelf kunt voelen wat deze alternatieve teamsporten precies inhouden. We sluiten af met een heerlijk gezamenlijk vega diner!

The upcoming month the Gemaal is all about: Tournament of the Unknown - Turning towards Fluidity
This exhibition, created by Gabriel Fontana, consists of an exhibition and various events, workshops and classes by Queer Gym.
The Tournament of the Unknown envisions new worlds beyond the binary where hegemonic heterosexist discourses cease to regulate bodies. The tournament, initiated by Gabriel Fontana, features a series of alternative team sports games that create opportunities for social engagement beyond the norm.
On October 30, the opening of this special program will take place with a conversation with Cultural worker Clara Balaguer, sports trainer Romy Rocks and Gabriel Fontana himself! Then we all play the first game together, so that you can feel what these alternative team sports exactly entail. We conclude with a delicious joint dinner!
