SELFHOOD: out of survival mode, into our dreamspace

We are excited to invite you to the talk SELFHOOD: out of survival mode, into our dreamspace on April 15th in Gemaal op Zuid. During this evening, we will focus on Black womanhood and rest together with Sharna Jackson, Nike Ayinla, and Aqueene Wilson, with moderation by Alexine Gabriela. How do the different speakers invite rest and care into their creative practices? How do they counter burnout culture and financial trauma? How do they position self care in relation to communal care? By exploring their individual creative practices we will explore these themes that are related to the exhibition SELFHOOD: A Manifestation of Wholeness by Aqueene Wilson.

In the upcoming weeks we will share more information about the speakers and their creative practices.

We hope to see you there & bring your friends!
