Opening: Wider Perspectives #2 - we cry 2gether
Official invitation for the opening of we cry 2gether + DJ set/sonic lecture by Softbreak on Friday September 9th at Gemaal op Zuid (Rotterdam) from 8-10PM
we cry 2gether is a series of new works by Jayda Reeberg that will be on show until October 21st, and is part of Wider Perspectives.
“we cry 2gether is a visual exploration of Black masculinity, Black queerness, Afro-futurism, intergenerational trauma, healing practices among Black communities and spirituality. we cry 2gether is about imagining worlds where Black bodies are centred and celebrated: where unity exists, where all the space is Ours, where Black is not suffering but healing, love and power. The work proposes a move away from individualism towards holding space for our collective liberation by developing our collective consciousness.”
